As you are probably moving into a new community where you may know no one and have no idea about the property market. Therefore, it is in your best interest to find somebody who does, and in most cases that individual is a local real estate agent.
There are a number of large nationally and even internationally established real estate companies, and it is in your best interest to use them so that you can be assured that you are seeing an adequate number of properties. But before you call them, make a concerted effort to define what it is that you are looking for and how much you are willing to pay as this will cut down on your moving in time. Also make sure that you know what the costs are associated with using the agent so that there are no surprises on the day of the signing.
Ultimately, agents from larger companies have a bigger network behind them and this should grant you greater selection and choice, and this will only work to your advantage.
